What's in my... Fonts Folder?

As you may be able to tell from my previous posts, I love typography, and discovering new fonts. I've found lots of fonts through other people's blogs and pins on Pinterest and so I thought I would spread the love by sharing some of my favourites. I have been using lots of handwritten fonts recently while working on my Dad's 60th birthday photo book, so I thought I would start by sharing some of my favourites.

Happy downloading!

PS. The notepaper background is also a free download, from Fuzzimo, and the scalloped circle label is from Pugly Pixel

  1. Hi Amy - seems like a super cool blog, fonts, vintage, my weaknesses! Just wanted to let you know that your site is being flagged as having inappropriate content on Pinterest - maybe because of the XXX?

    1. Oh wow, thanks for letting me know, I'll have to look into this. I love Pinterest, I don't want them thinking I'm inappropriate! Thanks for commenting, Amy Xxx (no inappropriate meaning implied!)

  2. I'm guessing it's probably because whoever linked it - linked it to the site in general and not to this actual post. Still found you though!

    1. It all depends on what system you are using. If windows you have to load them into your Window's font folder in order for it to pick it up. Doing that also varies depending what version of Windows your running. I suggest googling/binging (which ever) Loading Fonts in Windows (which ever version)

      I don't know Macs...

    1. check out Whatthefont.com upload a picture or url and it will help you identify fonts. They also have an ap for that.

  5. My virus scan is not allowing me to download the fonts, saying that one or more contains a virus (I stopped trying to download them, obviously). I'd guess that's the reason for the "innappropriate content" flag?

  8. If you are using a Mac to download the fonts, simply double click the downloaded file. It will bring up FontBook, and the bottom right corner of the window has an install button. Click that and the font will be installed. Just restart word and the font should appear.
